Elila graduated from DePaul University College of Law in December 2014. While at DePaul, she was a staff member for the Journal for Social Justice and was a teaching assistant for the academic success support program. Elila clerked for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office where she acted as a student attorney. Elila successfully tried countless bench trials that included cases involving domestic violence, drug possession and distribution, DUIs, and theft. She also negotiated plea deals, argued motions, and conducted sentencing hearings.
Before joining Meyer Njus Tanick in 2017, Elila focused on consumer protection and bankruptcy and has experience dealing with cases in all stages of litigation.
In her spare time, Elila enjoys spending time being active, playing with her dog, and enjoying all that Chicago has to offer.
