In an opinion released June 4th, 2018, the Minnesota Court of Appeals reversed the conviction of Donald Ancke, a Meyer Njus Tanick pro bono client, on the grounds that prosecutor’s misconduct at trial denied Mr. Ancke his constitutional right to a fair trial. State of Minnesota v. Donald Charles Ancke, 2018 WL 2470675 (Minn. Ct. App. June 4, 2018).

Meyer Njus Tanick attorney David Robbins argued the case on behalf of Mr. Ancke as a Special Assistant State Public Defender through a public-private partnership that places pro bono public defender appeals cases with attorneys in private practice.
